Baby Averie hit her 6 month mark last Thursday (14th). I just can't believe she's half a year already. It just doesn't seem quite right how fast she's growing. I'm reflecting a little bit on where she's at and what she's doing. (If not for you, for me.)
--Eating: Mommy Milk and she's loving solid foods. So far applesauce and pear sauce (that Mom made out of love last year while 8 months pregnant), just tried sweet potatoes and of course all mixed with rice cereal. So far only once a day around dinner time. That's all we can seem to fit in right now.
--Sleeping patterns: She hangs for a little bit still w/ Mom and Dad at night when the big kids go to bed. Her bed time seems to be 9:30- 10 pm. She'll sleep until about 5 or so, eats and sleeps until she gets woke up in the morning. She's doing good if she can make it until 7:30 or 8:00 am. When she goes to sleep she likes the blanket up against her face or over her face.
--Naps She takes roughly 3-4 a day. That's really a day to day thing. Depending on if she's in her car-seat, in her crib, sometimes even ends catching a lil' snooze on the floor. She like a small nap sometimes late in the day around 7 pm. (That one sometimes makes me a little nervous but she only sleeps for about 1/2 hour.) She tends to get woke up a lot, but handles it really well. She makes up for it at her next nap. She's a pretty easy-going baby!!
-- Favorite past-time? Hangin' on Mom's hip. Yes, she also hit the point of Mamma's girl, big-time!! She loves Dad, just prefers Mom. Frusterating at times, but I have to enjoy it now, because there will be a day, like her big sister, when it's all about Daddy!!
--New Skills: Can't quite sit up yet, but she is starting to army crawl a little bit!! I thought sitting came first so I could have a brief period of sitting with no moving. When she's laying on the floor she'll roll all over or use her feet to push her around. She's got some range. She amazes me, really!!
--Loves: MOM, Dad, Clay, Ashton, Carlie (sometimes they talk to her and the way she looks at them just amazes me!! She recognizes them from Heaven and is so happy to be with them again.) toys, toes, binki, food, sleep, music, baseball field, stroller, car-seat, blankets, I think that about covers it. That what her life is about right now.
She hasn't had her well-baby check yet, I'll let you know all her stats when she goes. I'm quite anxious to get an accurate weight. We're hoping she's still on the charts, but she's definetely following the others on the small side.
She wakes up pretty happy, unless it's 5 am and she's hungry. So I can't blame her much for that, I'm a little grumpy too.
One morning Clayton brought her downstairs for me while I was getting dressed and he had this cute set-up for her, I couldn't resist getting some pics. of it. He put her in her little chair and sat her next to her toy. He said, "Now she can play with her toy sitting up so she can see it!" Brilliant! And she played happily from that view! She loves this toy!
I think she is loved. I always have requests every time I get the camera out "take a picture of me and Ave."
Averie's favorite past-time. Munching on the toes! If there's nothing else around to chew on, she'll eat her toes!! I LOVE it!!

All bundled up at a baseball game. Hopefully the warm fleece hat will get put away soon and the sun hat will be out to stay!! I love that smile!!

Well you did it again....another absolutly adorable baby! She is darling. I need to see her. Let's get her and Chace together for a play date!
